NIK & NIC'S SOUL FOOD - Delivering Delicious food for less



Food has always been something we bond over may it be at the office, at home or in every occasion. But the only problem would be preparing the food in our very busy schedule. Good thing there are delivery services to save us whenever we need food for a simple staycation, to celebrate achievements and even for instances that we want to surprise our loved ones. Where do you usually order from?

Most if not all of you will order from known fast food chains, that would've been an easy and obvious option when you are pressed with time but let me share to you a Pinayaventures affordable and super delicious find that will have your guests wish that you had a reason to celebrate everyday.

I chanced upon an interesting restaurant/delivery service during our 12th anniversary. In our household it has always been my husband who prepares food for our family and so during our staycation at F1 Hotel I thought of surprising him by preparing the meals for him and letting him just relax. Breakfast was easy(okay not that easy as the hotdogs were a little burnt) as I only had to fry some hotdogs, tocino and tuna. Lunch was a different story as it is difficult to please the tastebuds of a person who cooks well. Good thing I have this staycation all planned out, I pre-ordered our Lunch thru Nik & Nic's Soul Food. Just a little background for Nik and Nic's, it was
started by two food aficionados, who wanted to make hosting parties, meetings and small events easier and more affordable. 

They market to anyone within Metro Manila who have neither the time nor venue to prepare and cook and pack for meetings, gatherings and small celebrations. Here's their Menu:



They have a wide variety of menu and we decided to order their specialties from each category. They also have packed lunch options but we opted for their trays to go. They have whole trays good for 12 individuals and half trays for when you are a smaller group. Transaction was fast thru their fb page and the owner was very friendly. 

Disclaimer: Pictures are of 1/4 tray but they really only offer half trays or 1 tray(i just made a request since we wanted the food still fresh for the next day).


Lunch was served 30 minutes earlier than expected delivery time and they use a delivery service called Lalamove which let's you(the customer) and the sender track where the delivery guy is at. It was so cool I had to also download the app.

The packaging of the food is well done maintaining it's appetizing looks perfect for parties. You can just serve it as it is or if you would like to transfer it to trays, you'll have your guests thinking you prepared them these food.

All of the food we ordered were prepared with love and overflowing with flavor. We lived everything but if we had to.pick just 1, we all have different choices.

My daughter's favorite:

GARLIC PARMESAN CHICKEN WINGS
This is perfect for when you have kids around plus their dressing compliments well with the chicken



My husband's favorite:

BINAGOONGANG LECHON KAWALI
We lived the fact that the sauce was in a separate package than the lechon kawali as we still got to enjoy the crispiness and juiciness of the pork.

SEAFOOD ALIGUE PASTA
 I am a pasta lover and so my pasta cravings was definitely solved and i even saved aome for the next day and it was as good as when i tasted it the first day. Flavors were preserved and the pasta was still intact.

TOP 5 AFFORDABLE CATERING SERVICE THAT SERVES DELICIOUS FOOD IN ZAMBOANGA CITY

I did not know that Tilapia can be cooked in so many ways till I went to Laurel Batangas. Laurel, officially the Municipality of Laurel, is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Batangas, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 39,444 people. Laurel had been part of Talisay, its current neighbor town. The town used to be known as Bayuyungan. I was invited to witness their very popular Tilapia Festival by having a lot of activities.
