BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION IDEAS ON A BUDGET || PINAYAVENTURES TIPID TIPS




April is the month of birthdays(atleast for our family), that's because all 3 of us(me, my hubby and daughter) was born in April. I know it can be overwhelming and a little heavy on the budget as it's back-to-back-to-back celebration but here's a few birthday celebration ideas that you can try without needing to break the bank. 


5. SIMPLE MEAL /DIY PARTY WITH FAMILY & RELATIVES AT HOME

This birthday idea is not only practical but also sweet. Usually my mom, titas, uncles and cousins in the province will cook and we will have Lunch or Dinner together in our compound. Since we are a big family(including relatives - 20-30 persons) , this simple birthday celebration turns out to be a mini reunion as we get to spend some quality time together. 

Now that I am in Manila, the simple meal is usually prepared by my husband and shared by our little family of 3. 

Same thing goes when it's my husband and daughter's birthday(they have the same birth date) , a DIY kind of kiddy party is best shared with relatives and the cost is half what you would pay in a resto. If you have more budget to spend or if you are thinking of doing a triple birthday celebration you may also invite your neighbors.

This super budget friendly idea will cost you 1000pesos for a small family or 3000pesos for a bigger one just like when you are at the province. It may extend to 5000pssos if it's a kiddie party depending on your budgetting and DIY skills. 

It's a sweet gesture from family that makes you feel how important and loved you are on your birthday.

4. DINE WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS AT A RESTAURANT

This alternative from the usual cook at home is a trend especially if you are renting just a small place in Manila. You may take advantage of Eat All You can Promos where the birthday celebrant gets to eat for free. You may also book a function room at a resto or simply walk-in. This is mostly convenient to those who are on a budget and does not want the pressure and task of cooking.

Make use of resources available in your area like the park. This birthday idea can even be free in certain areas as there are parks without any entrance fees. All you need to bring is your picnic mat and some food and your birthday is as special as any other ways you may have spent it. 

Take advantage of activities that the park offers.

Tilapia Festival at LAUREL BATANGAS: Masterchef Competition

I did not know that Tilapia can be cooked in so many ways till I went to Laurel Batangas. Laurel, officially the Municipality of Laurel, is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Batangas, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 39,444 people. Laurel had been part of Talisay, its current neighbor town. The town used to be known as Bayuyungan. I was invited to witness their very popular Tilapia Festival by having a lot of activities. One of the activities that I participated as a judge was the MASTER CHEF COMPETITION. The contest had 2 divisions; the junior division and the senior division.
