ZAMBOANGA CITY NIGHT LIFE || PINAYAVENTURES TRAVEL


Comedy bars, bands, clubbing, drinks and party! Some of the things I seldom do... but since I was travelling alone(without my daughter and hubby) last March to Zamboanga I decided to try new things... GO TO A COMEDY BAR!

I don't remember going to a comedy bar ever! Maybe if I did , we just dropped by and did not stay for the actual show. So when I came across 2 results for this search in Zamboanga, i knew I had to visit.

The first visit was at LAFTRIP ZAMBOANGA, they are located at Governor Camins Avenue Canelar Airport near Marcian Hotel.


It was a weekend and so when we arrived after dinner it was a full house.



Performances will let you laugh till you drop. Expect the unexpected when you visit as you may be picked in some of their games.



Their performances are based on a flow but the punchlines are impromptu, the crowd are mostly millennials.


If you are the type who gets angry easily, this is not the place for you. This compares to actual jokes in comedy bars in Manila and so you should be game and cool with this set up.

It was our last day in Zamboanga and so we decided to go to the other comedy bar called STREET FOOD COMEDY BAR. They are located  along Tetuan Highway just after Coca Cola Plant.



If you are into karaoke with some punchlines every now and then this is the place for you. The crowd are mostly those in their 30's and up

Overall Zamboanga is already advancing and is offering a very good night life experience. Transportation is mostly available 24/7 depending on where you are staying. Zamboangueños are slowly embracing the comedy bar concept and enjoying it! Indeed laughter is the best medicine so if you are feeling down head on to these comedy bars should you be visiting Zamboanga.

Tilapia Festival at LAUREL BATANGAS: Masterchef Competition

I did not know that Tilapia can be cooked in so many ways till I went to Laurel Batangas. Laurel, officially the Municipality of Laurel, is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Batangas, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 39,444 people. Laurel had been part of Talisay, its current neighbor town. The town used to be known as Bayuyungan. I was invited to witness their very popular Tilapia Festival by having a lot of activities. One of the activities that I participated as a judge was the MASTER CHEF COMPETITION. The contest had 2 divisions; the junior division and the senior division.
