Open a savings account with only 50 pesos thru CEBUANA LHULILLIER MICRO SAVINGS



March 04, 2019 was when I attended #KayaNaKaCebuana Financial Forum, with guests Ms. Pia Bernadette Roman-Tayag, Managing director of Center for learning and Inclusion Agency from BSP and Sen. Chiz Escudero explaining the whys of our fellow farmers and citizens living in the rural areas not getting their own savings account. Even if we all know how dangerous it is to keep our money under our beds and in our homes. And that pertains not only to our middle class citizens, but also those who are living below the minimum wage income.

Cebuana Lhuillier Microsavings is an interest-bearing savings product by Cebuana Lhuillier Rural Bank that allows depositors to save up to PHP50,000 using the 24K Cebuana card.
With Micro Savings, opening a bank account is easier, affordable, and accessible to every Filipino because:
While there are not as much rural banks available in all provinces of the country, there is at least a nearby Cebuana Lhuillier Pera Padala Center available for our deposit and withdrawal needs. There's at least 2500 branches nationwide!
You only need one Valid ID.
The minimum initial deposit is 50 Php.
There is no maintaining balance
No transaction fees needed for withdrawal and deposit
No dormancy charges
Cebuana Lhuillier Micro Savings account earns interest per year if the account has an average daily balance of Php 500.

How to Open a Micro Savings Account
The requirements are:

1 Photo bearing Government issued ID
50 pesos initial deposit

And if you're wondering, the maximum amounts of withdrawal you can do with your account is 3x a day. The minimum cash deposit is Php 50 while the maximum cash deposit is Php 50,000. As for the withdrawals, minimum amount is 100 php up to 5,000 php. You also can only withdraw with the card for now, but they are also planning to open up their own mobile app for this soon so you can keep track of your savings easier.
