A travel back to the 90's || PATJAR CAFE



90's kids would be travelling down memory lane upon visiting this instagram worthy place in Marikina called PATJAR CAFE.

Before my flight to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia we decided to visit a shop located in Marikina, the shoe capital of the Philippines. Owned & managed by PAT & JR thus the name Patjat Cafe, is a very cozy place where you can dine and relax amidst the busy streets in the metro you will be surprised to feel like you are in the province when you visit the location. From humble begginings of operating in their own home and using what they have to decorate the place now they have moved to a bigger location to cater to the growing number of consumers who enjoy dining and bonding at their cafe.


Does the dish look familiar to you? Yes, that's how creative and resourceful the owners of this cafe are. They can turn a simple cable dish to a masterpiece. The decors in this cafe are either recycled, a part of their collection or given by customers.







I know what you're thinking. Don't worry because despite how elegant the place looks like the food is very affordable yet delicious.


They have a lot of food to choose from that would definitely make you want to go back.
They prepare your food as you order so if you are not a fan of waiting better give your orders early and provide your ETA(ESTIMATED TIME OF ARRIVAL) so they can prepare ahead.


They even give free treats while you are waiting for your orders. Plus you can take selfies and groupies while waiting as every corner of the place is instagram worthy.


Their plating is very nice plus their plates and glasses are super cute.



Their meals are ordered per individual but the serving is for more than 1 person.


Their buffalo wings are a must try. It's full of flavor and is one of my favorite dishes during this visit.


Affordable steak? Yes, they have that too. It's delicious without the sauce but tastier with the dip.


Same goes for this cordon bleu tasty and delicious with or without the dip.


Look at those cute glasses & colorful juices. You can order bottomless drinks for less than 50pesos!


They also have yummy desserts that can satisfy your sweet tooth.


Patjar Cafe is also open for special events and they can cater to any requests and budget. Just message their page and they will make your dream party come true.




Bring your entire family and invite your friends. This cafe won't disappoint from the place, to the food and the friendly staff and owners. Ohhh and did i mention that the owners of the cafe are dog lovers and so you can take pictures with their dogs.

Great people plus great food. i enjoyed chatting with the owners that I almost forgot I had a flight to catch.

Tilapia Festival at LAUREL BATANGAS: Masterchef Competition

I did not know that Tilapia can be cooked in so many ways till I went to Laurel Batangas. Laurel, officially the Municipality of Laurel, is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Batangas, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 39,444 people. Laurel had been part of Talisay, its current neighbor town. The town used to be known as Bayuyungan. I was invited to witness their very popular Tilapia Festival by having a lot of activities. One of the activities that I participated as a judge was the MASTER CHEF COMPETITION. The contest had 2 divisions; the junior division and the senior division.
